Student Works Towards Change
Kathleen Siu ’25 has worked as both a teacher and an advocate. In fall 2021, she taught English to adults in Colombia. In summer 2023, she developed a bilingual curriculum for first-graders at John Muir Elementary School in San Francisco. She now serves as an academic tutor with the Athletics Department at USF.
Alumni Educator Empowers Young Minds
As an educator, Araceli Leon ’23 has found inspiration in creating a collaborative learning environment, whether through guiding kindergarteners toward literacy or being a professor who mentors future educators. Through her students, she has learned the importance of meeting individual needs and continuously building her practice to better serve her diverse classroom community.
